Jung Won LEE is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at ESSEC Business School, France. Her research interests focus on psychological antecedents and consequences of interpersonal network dynamics and their organizational outcomes.
Jung examines how individuals’ cognitive and motivational processes influence the formation and utilization of interpersonal networks. She also explores the psychological and performance consequences of network positions at workplaces, such as employee burnout and creativity.
Her research employs a diverse range of methods, including experiments, surveys, and social network and text analysis. Her research won several awards including the Best Symposium Awards and Best Paper Award from Academy of Management (AOM) Conferences, as well as the Andreas Al-Laham Best Paper Award from the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS).
Jung holds a Ph.D. in Management from UCL School of Management at University College London and was a Chazen visiting scholar at Columbia Business School. Prior to her Ph.D., she studied Cognitive Studies at Columbia University (M.A.). and Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A.). Jung is from Seoul, South Korea.
